HTG drives innovation from research to real world impact by enabling breakthrough health technologies through expert-led translation, commercialisation and collaboration.

Additional ongoing programs invented and founded by the team, and currently in Phase 3 clinical trials for a rare form of kidney disease, have resulted in agreements for more than $1 billion in potential milestone and royalty payments. Bringing this access to research, commercial, legal and financial expertise, positions HTG to support translational funding, entrepreneurial development, licensing and collaboration, start-up creation, and offer a full spectrum of drug discovery, diagnostic and clinical capabilities. Directly working with Western Australia’s leading medical and health organisations, rapidly leverages skills as a powerful partner to promote health and its translation in the fight to improve health in our community.
HTG’s Founding Members and HTG’s team have been instrumental in forming more than 10 start-up companies and additional products through other commercial arrangements. The contributions have been as significant inventors, founders and / or management with outcomes that include bringing 7 drugs from Australian academic research laboratories to achieve marketing approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA – out of only approximately 18 with origins in Australian academic research organisations). These drugs have enabled treatments for patients with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy, chronic pain and cardiovascular disease.
The team has helped several medical devices and medical-software as a device products successfully translate into approved products, which include an artificial cornea, a magnetic resonance imging (MRI) system for diagnosis of iron overload in the liver and the use of artificial intelligence to better diagnose coronary disease.
